DEATH TO CHILDREN
DEATH TO CHILDREN
Dear Father:
I was a glove turned inside out
Softness showing, and worn.
I lived in a secret world below your belt.
I tried to be like other children
But lacked their tough skin.
I tried to be what you wanted
But I was just a child, afterall
When you bring a child into the world
You are giving it not only life, but death
And the skull becomes its own tombstone.
